Open Intellij SFCC → Intellij SFCC Account in the Activity Bar to check the account and plugin access used by the extension. Your sandbox usernames and access keys are managed separately in Credentials
Sign in
Signed out, the account card reads Click to login. Select the card or its Login to Intellij SFCC Account button, complete sign-in in the browser, and return to VS Code. You can also run Intellij SFCC: Login to Intellij SFCC Account from the Command Palette. Website and Documentation at the top of the view open intellijsfcc.com and these docs
Use the account associated with your subscription or organization seat assignment. The account panel should show your signed-in state and the current plugin access status
The free 7-day trial runs without an account. When it ends, the status bar shows Intellij SFCC trial ended - sign in, and Sign In opens Getting Started on its account step. The view title changes to Intellij SFCC | Sign In Required, and the Plugin access card below the account card offers two buttons:
- Create Account opens the sign-up page of intellijsfcc.com in your browser
- Getting Started opens Getting Started on its account step
Choose the action you need

Release notes
The Releases section lists published VS Code releases, each line with its updates indented below it, and your installed version next to the heading. Select a release to open its blog post, or its release notes when it has no post; a release with a post also offers Notes. Your installed release is marked Installed, or Current once a newer one is out, and newer releases are marked New. Use Load older release notes to browse the full history
Release notes open in a browser tab inside VS Code and are available even when signed out or plugin access is paused. Refresh release notes checks for updates. This list is independent of notifications, so dismissing one does not remove the release links
Release notifications
Releases are announced by line: 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 are updates to 1.0.0, so a notification names 1.0.0 and links its notes. Each line is announced once, and only the newest one:
- A newer line names it and your installed version
- When you install an update such as 1.0.1, it says you have the fixes since 1.0.0 and points to the 1.0.0 notes
- On a fresh install, the notification waits until you close Getting Started
- When you skipped a line on the way, it adds "Also new since" with the lines in between
The buttons:
- Release notes opens the notes in a browser tab inside VS Code
- Blog post opens the release article, when the release has one
- All release notes opens the release history, when you skipped a line
- Turn off release notifications turns the
intellij-sfcc.releases.notificationssetting off
An update inside your line, such as 1.0.1 after 1.0.0, shows "Intellij SFCC updated to 1.0.1 with fixes for 1.0.0" instead. See fixes opens the update's section of the 1.0.0 notes, and What's new in 1.0.0 opens the whole notes
The extension checks at startup and every five minutes while the VS Code window is focused, signed in or not. The setting applies to every window; see Settings
Personal subscriptions and organization seats
A personal subscription provides access for one account. An organization subscription provides a pool of seats: each seat must be assigned to a member before that member can use the plugin. Joining an organization or accepting an invitation does not purchase, reserve, or assign a paid seat
Each license or seat is used by one device at a time. You can install the extension on several computers and switch between them; see Devices
In the dashboard, choose the correct organization and open Seats to review assignments. Organization owners and members with seat-management permission can assign available seats. Use Billing to review the organization subscription and paid seat quantity; changing an assignment does not change the billed quantity. After a seat is assigned, select Sync Access in VS Code
If Intellij SFCC is paused on this device
When your license is active on another computer, the panel shows Paused with the reason, for example Paused: license in use on another device. Choose Use on This Device to switch now, Reload Window after closing VS Code on the other computer, or Manage Devices to see and sign out your devices. Devices explains every reason and what to do
Where VS Code shows missing access
While plugin access is active, nothing extra appears. Without it, the extension tells you in several places:

The next step depends on why access is missing:

After Choose a Plan, Renew Subscription, or View Assigned Seat opens the website, the extension re-checks access each time you return to VS Code for the next 30 minutes. Once access is active, it notifies Intellij SFCC: Plugin access is active, so you do not need Sync Access
Click the status bar item to open Intellij SFCC Access with Sync Access and the next-step button. When the license is in use on another device, the second button is Manage Devices. Signed out, the click opens Getting Started directly, and after the account was deleted Sign In Again is the only choice
On a paused device the item opens Intellij SFCC is paused on this device instead, with the actions described in Devices
If your plugin access is not recognized
- Select Sync Access and check the displayed result
- Select Open Dashboard and confirm that the subscription or organization assignment belongs to this account
- If the browser is using a different account, sign out and sign in to the intended one, then repeat Login in the IDE
- If access is still missing, contact support with the extension version and exact status message. Do not include tokens or passwords
A successful sandbox login does not resolve a plugin access issue, and active plugin access does not grant sandbox permissions. Check the relevant account for the action that failed
