Intellij SFCC doesn't add a page to the IDE's Settings dialog. Each setting lives next to the feature it changes: connection options in Connections Settings, deploy options in Deployment Configurations, and the few project-wide options in General Project Settings
General Project Settings
Open More › Instance › General Project Settings. The item is shown once the project has a linked cartridge. Click Save to apply
| Group | Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| General | Concurrent Threads | 10 | How many cartridges, modules or instances the plugin works on at the same time when it deploys, cleans a code version or refreshes code versions |
| B2C Explorer | Select and Expand server node on connection change | On | When you switch the active connection, B2C Explorer selects and expands it |
| B2C Explorer | Collapse all nodes on connection change | On | When you switch the active connection, every other node in B2C Explorer collapses |
Lower the threads for small sandboxes
Some sandboxes handle only 2 parallel requests. If deploys or cleanups fail part of the way through, set Concurrent Threads to 2 and try again
The settings are saved per project. Bulk File Upload has its own Concurrent Threads value for that dialog, see WebDAV Explorer

Where the plugin keeps its state
| What | Stored in | Shared by |
|---|---|---|
| Connections, General Project Settings, deployment configurations, the site scope, the code versions list | .idea/workspace.xml of the project | This project on this machine |
| Linked cartridges, B2C modules and the modules folder | intellij-sfcc-cartridges.xml, intellij-sfcc-b2c-modules.xml and intellij-sfcc-b2c-global-modules.xml in .idea | This project |
| Connections of the B2C OCAPI tool window | intellij-sfcc-commerce-ocapi-connections-config.xml in .idea | This project |
| Accounts, access keys, API clients and sandbox configurations | The IDE's own settings, with passwords and secrets in the IDE password safe | Every project in this IDE |
Two things follow from this:
- Credentials survive when you delete a project's
.ideafolder, but its connections, linked cartridges and deploy settings don't. Find New Cartridges links the cartridges again in one click, and connections need to be added again - To use the same accounts on several machines, link them to one encrypted file, see Sync credentials to a file
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to do |
|---|---|
| General Project Settings isn't in the More menu | Link a cartridge first, see Cartridges & Modules |
| Deploys or cleanups fail with timeouts or server errors part of the way through | Lower Concurrent Threads, for example to 2 |
| B2C Explorer jumps and collapses when you switch connections | Turn off the two B2C Explorer options |
| Plugin balloons are too noisy | Change the INTELLIJSFCC group in Settings › Appearance & Behavior › Notifications |
