The query bar on top of Issues and Events has two rows. The first holds the search, the time range and Filters, and on Events the Unique and As Recorded switch. The second holds a pill per common filter, Clear All and the count. Both views share the query, so a filter set on one applies to the other
Search
Type in the search field, and the tables follow as you type. The text matches any part of the message, file path or session, in any letter case
| Write | Matches | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Plain text | That text anywhere | basket |
* | Any run of characters | Cart*failed |
? | One character | HTTP 50? |
^ | The start of the text | ^Error while |
$ | The end of the text | timed out$ |
\ | The next character as written | 100\* |
- The empty field reads Search messages, paths, sessions, and its tooltip sums up the patterns
- The whole text is one pattern. Quotes are matched as written, and there are no field prefixes such as
level: - The search runs when you stop typing.
Enterruns it at once and keeps it in the history Escclears the field. When the field is empty,Escgoes back to the table- A search through many events shows Searching older events… with Stop, which keeps the rows found so far
Suggestions
While you type, a list under the field suggests up to 9 rows: your recent searches first, then the sites, controllers and sessions that contain the text, each with its count
| You pick | What happens |
|---|---|
| A recent search | It runs at once |
| A site, controller or session | It becomes a filter, such as Controller: Cart-AddProduct, and the field clears |
Up and Down move through the list, Enter picks and Esc closes it. The list never takes the focus from the field
Unique and As Recorded
Events opens in Unique: one row per kind of event, with its count, an occurrence strip, the message, when it was last seen, its files and its source
The count reads, for example, 1,204 events, 37 unique. While it still counts, a + marks the number as a floor. As Recorded lists every entry as the log files recorded it, newest first, with its Time, Level, Message, File, Site and Controller. The file's tooltip gives its whole name and the line. The view remembers your choice
Show Events on an issue, an anomaly or a file switches Events to As Recorded, narrowed by a 1 issue or 1 file chip
| Empty text | When |
|---|---|
| No events match | The search or filters leave out every event. Click Clear all filters |
Time range and filters
The time range list, the pills and Filters narrow both views to the events you care about
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Time range | All time, Last 15 minutes, Last 30 minutes, Last hour, Last 6 hours, Last 24 hours, Last 2 days, Last 5 days, Last 7 days, Last 14 days or Custom range, see Custom range |
| Quick filters | Ready-made filters: Errors, HTTP errors (4xx, 5xx), Server errors (5xx), Storefront errors, OCAPI errors, SCAPI errors, Service call errors, Job errors and With a stack trace |
| Level, Request, HTTP, Blade, Session | Pick values with their counts. A pill with values on is tinted and shows them, such as Level: Error +1. Its × clears it. Request filters by what served the request, HTTP by status class or exact code, Blade by the application server that wrote the entries |
| Triage | Fixed issues: Include fixed, Hide fixed or Only fixed. Backlog: All issues, Backlog only or Backlog hidden, see Keep a backlog. The pill shows what's on: Not fixed or Fixed, and In backlog or Not in backlog, such as Triage: Not fixed +1 |
| Clear All | Turns off every filter. The search text and a preset time range stay |
| Filters | Opens every filter at once. It reads Filters (3) while three are on |
A pill whose filter has nothing to pick in the store hides
Custom range
Custom range opens From and To, set to the last hour while no range is set. Both ends count whole minutes, written as 2026-10-29 13:20. Apply sets the range and closes the popup. If From is later than To, the popup reads The start is after the end and stays open. Closing it any other way changes nothing. The range shows as a Time chip, see Filter chips
The filter popup
Filters shows each filter's values with a count under the current query, so you see how many events a tick keeps. Columns shows every filter at once, Sidebar lists the filters with the values of the chosen one beside it. Search filters finds a value, Only keeps just that value, Clear All turns every filter off and Done closes the popup
| Filter | Values |
|---|---|
| Quick filters | The ready-made filters of the pill |
| Levels | Error, Warn, Info, Debug, and Other for lines without a level |
| Source | Mapped when the script opens a file of this project, Unresolved when no file matches its path, No source for events without a script path. Then each script path: rest the pointer on it for …: double-click opens it, or …: no file of this project matches it |
| Cartridge | The cartridges whose files the scripts open, such as events whose script opens a file in app_custom |
| Request type | What served the request, see Request types |
| HTTP status | 1xx informational, 2xx success, 3xx redirects, 4xx client errors and 5xx server errors, with the codes under each class |
| Categories | The logger categories found |
| File types | Error, Warning, Info, Debug, Jobs, Quota, API deprecation, Custom, Archive, Services, Other |
| Files | The parsed log files |
| Blades | The application servers named in the file names, such as blade4-6-0 |
| Sites, Controllers, Sessions | The values in the entries |
| Stack | With stack, No stack, Direct, Resolved, Unresolved |
Long lists show their first rows. Show all 42 shows the rest and Show less folds them again. Clear Levels, for example, clears one filter
The counts read Counting… while they load. Search filters reads No filter value matches when nothing contains the text, and a store with no events yet reads Nothing to filter yet
Request types
| Request type | Keeps |
|---|---|
| Storefront | Storefront controllers and pipelines |
| OCAPI | Open Commerce API requests: /dw/shop, /dw/data and /dw/meta |
| SCAPI | Salesforce Commerce API and custom API requests |
| Business Manager | Requests in Business Manager |
| Jobs | Job steps: jobs logs, job threads and job errors |
| Service calls | Calls of the service framework: service logs and service loggers |
| Other | No request named in the entry: system work and logs of other formats |
Filter chips
Filters that have no pill show as chips after the pills. Click a chip to change it in its own popup, or its × to remove it. Their tooltips read Click to change this filter and Remove this filter. The issues chip only has its ×. A chip that shortens a long value, such as a controller, gives it whole in its tooltip
| Chip | Keeps |
|---|---|
| Type: Jobs | Events from that file type |
| Site: RefArch, Controller: Cart-Show, Category: … | Events with that value |
| Source: …, Cartridge: … | Events whose script opens that file or a file in that cartridge |
| 3 files, 2 issues | Events from those files or issues |
| With stack, Stack: Resolved | Events with that kind of stack trace |
| Time: 2026-10-29 13:20 to 2026-10-29 14:08 | Events in that time range. An open end reads Start or Now, such as Time: 2026-10-29 13:20 to Now. Click it to change the range |
Event timeline
The chart on top of Events stacks the events of each period by level, red for errors, amber for warnings and blue for info. It slides shut as you scroll the list
- Drag over the chart to narrow the range to those bars. The range becomes a Time chip and the time range reads Custom range
- Click a level in the legend to show only its events, Cmd+Click (Ctrl+Click) to add or remove a level, and click it again to show every level. The tooltips say so: Show only Error events. ⌘-click to add or remove them (Ctrl-click on Windows and Linux), and Show all levels again
- Pinch or turn the mouse wheel to zoom, swipe or drag with the middle button to move. Zoom Out, Zoom In and Show Whole Range sit by the chart
- Rest the pointer on a bar for its card: the bar's time range, each level with its count, and 1,204 events in all when it holds more than one level, or No events
- Screen readers hear the chart as a summary, such as Last 24 hours, 1,204 events, 37 errors, peak at Oct 29, 14:05
- Before the events load, the chart reads No events loaded
Deploy and upload marks
- Green marks show what this IDE sent to the instance: Code deployed to version2 from this IDE, Code version version2 activated from this IDE or 12 files uploaded from this IDE. Uploads close together share one mark
- A ring marks Code version version2 activated on the instance, whoever activated it, as the instance reports it. It shows when that time falls in the range
- Rest the pointer on a mark for its card: the time, or the span of marks close together, each mark with its time and +3 more past the first ones. When the marks include this IDE's, the card ends with Click to open B2C Sync
- Click a green mark to open B2C Sync, see Upload & Auto Upload. The ring opens nothing
- Deploys, Uploads and Code version version2 since … in the legend hide or show those marks on every histogram. Their tooltips say what each mark is, and Click to hide these marks on every histogram or Hidden on every histogram. Click to show them again
- Marks are kept 90 days, up to 200 per instance. Deploys from other machines or from Business Manager have none, except the ring of the active code version
Trends
The Trend column of Issues and Anomalies, and the Occurrences column of Events in Unique, draw each row's events over time. Screen readers hear the total and the busiest bar, such as 1,204 events, peak 96
Sort
Click a column header to sort, click it again to reverse. The sorted column shows an arrow. Drag a column's edge to resize it, which never sorts. The message column takes the room the others leave, and each view remembers its widths
| View | Default | Sortable columns |
|---|---|---|
| Issues | Count, highest first | Level, Issue, Count, Last seen, Files, Source |
| Events, Unique | Count, highest first | Level, Count, Message, Last seen, Files, Source |
| Events, As Recorded | Time, newest first | Time, Level, File, Site, Controller |
Copy rows
Select rows with Shift or Cmd/Ctrl and press Cmd+C/Ctrl+C. As Recorded copies one line per event: its time, level, file and first line. Unique copies one line per kind of event, as Issues does: its level, count, title and source. Secrets are masked
