Intellij SFCC is licensed per editor. The VS Code extension and the JetBrains
plugin each offer a 7-day free trial for new users, and no credit card is
required. Prices are in USD before tax; taxes are calculated at checkout.

## VS Code extension

Bought on the Intellij SFCC site with an Intellij SFCC account, and managed in
Billing in that account.

- Yearly billing gives 2 months free compared with monthly billing.
- Organization plans have 2 to 100 seats per order. Each developer needs a
  seat, and seats are assigned and reassigned to members in the Intellij SFCC
  account.
- Lifetime is paid once, with no renewal, and lifetime support is included.
  Lifetime organization seats belong to the organization: when a developer
  leaves, the seat is assigned to the next one without buying it again.
- The trial starts when the extension is installed; signing in is only needed
  for a bought plan or an organization seat.
- Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and keep access until the end of
  the paid period. Monthly and yearly billing can be switched in Billing.

## JetBrains plugin

Bought and managed through JetBrains Marketplace, which runs the checkout,
invoices and licenses:

- Yearly billing gives 2 months free compared with monthly billing.
- There is no lifetime plan for JetBrains.
- The seat count for organizations is chosen on JetBrains Marketplace, which
  shows the final pricing and terms.

## Using both editors

The two licenses are sold separately and the license systems are not
connected: a VS Code license does not activate the JetBrains plugin, and a
JetBrains license does not activate the VS Code extension. A buyer who owns a
license for one editor does not have to pay twice: they can contact support at
https://intellijsfcc.com/support with their order details and request a license
for the other editor.

## Buying with an AI agent
